Apple Appstore enforces the developers to follow their App Store Review Guidelines. There is a lot of confusion around the In-App Purchase Guidelines in the App Store. With this guideline, the flexibility of choosing your own payment gateway to collect payments is restricted for some scenarios. Instead, you will have to use apple's in-app payments to checkout. Furthermore, Apple will charge a commission fee of 20%-30% of the purchase price when you use apple's in-app payments. In the past, we have had a lot of experience dealing with it while developing mobile apps.

All the facts are based on Apple's App Store Review Guidelines - June 06, 2022.

🏆 1 - You must use apple's in-app purchase system if you wish to unlock features or capabilities within your app. For instance, subscriptions, in-game currencies, game levels, access to premium content, or unlocking a complete version except for "Reader" apps (specifically: magazines, newspapers, books, audio, music, and video). External links that point customers to other purchasing options outside apple's in-app purchases are not permitted in the app.

🏆 2 - Customers may "tip" the app's creator or digital content suppliers using apple's in-app purchase.

🏆 3 - If your app allows users to buy actual products or services that will be used outside the app, you can collect payments via any payment gateway.

🏆 4 - You should use apple's in-app purchase to sell digital gift cards, certificates, vouchers, and coupons that can be used to buy digital products or services. Physical gift cards purchased within an app and shipped to users are exempted from apple's in-app payments.

🏆 5 - Services between two people (such as tutoring students, medical consultations, home tours, or fitness training) are allowed to use any payment gateway. Services that are one-to-few and one-to-many must employ apple's in-app purchases.
